Hi. I am looking for some cranberries to make Delia’s cranberry mincemeat. Has anyone seen any about. It looks like Sainsbury’s and Tescos might sell them but before I go searching. Many thanks.

Seems It’s a bit early maybe? To be honest I have always used snacking/dried cranberries in mincemeat as they reconstitute in the juicesAbel & Cole from 25th November https://www.abelandcole.co.uk/cranberries-organic-175g
available from a few online stores.None at Tesco or Sainsburys or Asda yet in my areaI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Competitions Time, Shopping & Freebies boards, Employment, Jobseeking & Training boards If you need any help on these boards, do let me know. I usually buy frozen for my cranberry, black pudding mincemeat. (Duh - stuffing of course) I think I would have noticed if fresh had been in the stores I visit.1

Hi both. @sarah1972 and @kempiejon thank you. I have sent my husband to look for frozen ones. If I can’t get them I will get some dried ones from our lovely refill lady.1

You could also try checking local farmers' markets or health food stores they sometimes have them fresh or frozen.

I will use dried if I can’t find fresh but I suspect there is a lot more sugar in the dried ones. I like the juicy sharp taste of fresh ones.0
