Voluntary NI paid a year ago and record updated in 8 weeks but has not been added to my pension

I paid for one year of voluntary NI last October and my NI record was updated in 8 weeks. I started getting my state pension on February 2024 but the extra £5.92 per week has never been added. I also paid for 1 year self employed NI and this hasn't been added to my records. I can pay for another 2 years voluntary NI but now a very wary of doing so as this money seems to just disappear into the coffers of the DWP. I have written to them I have tried phoning but I'm getting nowhere. What should I do?

Which year did you fill ? If 2015-16 or earlier it may not have added to your pension amount.Which year class 2 has not been applied as they are having problems with some years ?Looking at your previous posts it may be that the payment crossed with you actually applying. A post 2016 year would definitely have added to the pension so the advice is as before, call the pension service at 8am spot on.0

Thanks for the advice......I paid Self employed class 2 for 22/23 in November 2023.
I also paid £795.60 in October 2023 for 2019/20 and although this has added a year to my NI record and taken me up to 38 years it has not added the extra amount. My pension forecast in October 23 was £186.66 and was told I would add £5.92 per week for each additional year of contributions. This hasn't happened. Also the self employed class 2 hasn't been added to my record of NI. I was told at the time I could buy up to 4 additional years but no point if the additional years are never added or the extra amount is never allocated to my state pension. The whole system is a shambles. I was over an hour on the phone today and passed from pillar to post! HMRC told me to ring back and select option 4 to speak to someone in "changes to circumstance" which I did to then be told speak to HMRC. The person I spoke to in change of circumstance said she would look into it and I would receive a letter. I won't hold my breath!0
