George Take Back Scheme

George has launched a buy back scheme and I tried this out by bringing my 6 year olds and other clothing into a box for a 10% discount, no one in store in my area knew about it and some tried the collect button on the screen and one tried the return button on the screen and that worked. Then I got my voucher code and that didn't work. I called George up and was told to wait 48 hours to find out why code not working and then another 24 hours. Also I was told that this can not be used in conjunction with other offers on the George site, yet there are loads of offers on the George site, so I am not getting any clarity of what I can use the voucher code on at this stage? It would be good if it worked the same way as the H&M system of handing your clothes in for recycling and you can use the H&M codes with anything. Anyone else tried George buy back and know what I can use the code on?

The T&C's say
"*Voucher Terms & Conditions - 10% off full price clothing, footwear and accessories only. Offer applied at basket with valid Promotional code. Online redeemable only offer. Offer cannot be used alongside any other promotions. Excludes sale. Available while stocks last. This offer is not available to deliveries outside of the UK. George reserves the right to withdraw this offer at any time. Valid for 30 days from issue. Maximum of one use per customer, per Promotional code."
Looks like you have to use the voucher online, not in store.1 -
Most of the site is already discounted so its difficult to navigate what I can and can't use, when I have tried some non discounted products the code is still not working so I asked for a list on what I can buy because I was putting different items in my basket and it was refusing the code.0
