Overnight the weather was warm and wet, I pulled the blanket off my bed and woke often.Yesterday I took away a big bag of recycling and then met a friend for a catch up. She'd been ill recently so it was good to see her looking so well again. My cleaner had been so the house was spick and span. Not that it was dirty! The back hall and kitchen floors are the messiest parts. After lunch I fiddled about with my finances, opening and closing accounts. It's so faffy.Whilst I was out I browsed through a local shop, not sure how to describe it. There's lovely ceramics, scarves, socks, various Scottish themed stuff and so on. Anyway, I ended up buying a handbag which, when I got home, regretted. It's fine but the hunt for the perfect bag goes on. Sometimes I feel as if I'm Goldilocks with her porridge. 😂I phoned the body shop about my car, the chap advised me to wait until Saturday morning to collect it from them as the paint was still drying and then the door will need to be hung. That suits me fine though I'll be so pleased to get it back, this Mazda is a very strange car.I hope that everyone has a good day.10

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It promises to be a better day today. Yesterday, though we got the promised 17 deg, the fog hung around most of the day with bouts of rainfall. Today we are promised sun!
I had the usual good day out with bus buddy yesterday, despite the rain! Not many of the market stallholders had set up so we dodged in and out of the cs instead before heading for lunch. The pub was very quiet and we were served in double quick time.
No gallivanting will be done today, unfortunately, as I have the dentist at long last about the tooth that broke off on a very chewy Haribo weeks ago. Thankfully. I haven't been having any pain with it. I might just have time to give the kitchen and bathroom a once over before I need to depart.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better, fed up or sad. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning allSuch a warm day yesterday, it felt weird, not so warm today though, high of 15 degrees but dry.Have my hairdresser coming today, her 2nd visit after having the same one for at least 30 years it will still feel strange. She's colouring my hair this time so will be interested to see the result. This afternoon I'm off for my flu and COVID jabs. What an exciting life I lead!Wishing that the poorlies are feeling better and everyone else have a good day x10

Looks to be a nice day here with sunshine and up to 17 deg which will be perfect for our fishing day Rob is very excited I think more about the medal they give out at the end rather than the trout he might catch hopefully I will get to bring it home like last time ! There is a bbq lunch too so at least he can have a good meal and be full.
Dinner tonight is carbonara with the last of the gammon from a few weeks ago I got it out of the freezer this morning, last time I made it it was delicious so I need to try and remember what I did 😃
I am looking forward to my day off tomorrow I am not a morning person at all and really struggle to get up if it’s dark and cold, dd and I are off to do some Christmas shopping tomorrow and will have lunch out.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning, lovely sunny start to the day, forecast to last all day. Doesn't feel as chilly which is just as well as the wood burner has gone out.
Did the shopping yesterday, the promised rain held off, it was just very overcast. I was surprised how few people were in the supermarket, almost made it a joy. The bill wasn't a joy though, so little for so much.
Fun day planned for today, vacuuming and mopping the floors, while trying to stop big dog chasing the vacuum cleaner and mop.
Off for the first dog walk of the day, love and hugs to all who need them. Take care all x

Morning all from Mehefinland
An absolutely stunning moon this morning , low and bright in the West. You felt as if you could reach out and touch it, it seemed so big. After yesterdays torrential rain it was a welcome sight.
Came home last night from a consultation on the plans for building at my little village ( its going to double in size with a projected 1200 new homes!!) to no electric!! Eventually narrowed it down to the socket circuit and/or the boiler but couldn't get any further. Electrician coming this afternoon. Managed to jury rig a supply to the fridge and freezer, and just juggled it so I could do this.
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin

Morning All
Cloudy this morning but there are little bits of blue up there. Very mild and I was too hot last night with the winter quilt on!
Hope you get the electrics sorted quickly Mehefin.
I'm off to a posh hotel near Hexham with a friend in a bit - just for one night and I'm really looking forward to it although I will have to stop at Costco on the way for some fuel.
Great day with the little one yesterday, she was on good form. The library craft session was making a halloween garland - glad it's not staying in my house!
The WM has just finished, I'll put it on the pulley before I leave.
Hope everyone is well or recovering Take care. XX9 -
Morning all from a warmish London the weather was lovely yesterday afternoon so DGS and i played in the garden which wore him out for his mummy . Today is dog groomers and then housework I need to clean all the kitchen cupboards before the doors go back on tomorrow other than that just plodding on as usual with all the usual tasks
Have a good day one and all xSlava Ukraini10 -
Morning all, it's a dry start to the day, the first one this week.
Yesterday I had a shock when I was in the bathroom and came face to face with a squirrel which decided to sit on the windowsill and look at me. I quickly pulled the window shut before it could come in the house ! I knew they were good climbers but didn't realise they could climb walls too as the bathroom is upstairs.
I have put the wm on and I'll chance putting the washing outside as it's forecast to be sunny with intermittent cloud and 16 degrees. If it stays dry today we'll go down to the c'van and drain down the water system, something we have been trying to do since Monday. Tea tonight will be liver, bacon and mash.
Anyone seen Wicked Lady ? Perhaps she's on holiday and I missed that post.
Take care all, enjoy your day.
