I agree with you about YNAB that's it worth the cost. I used to use the old YNAB4 which was computer based rather than online so I get a 10% discount on the annual cost.
Have you got a category for saving monthly for your renewal? If not it's worth setting one up so that when it comes round to renewal next time the money will be there.

Well what a weekend. My car was In an accident. All members were fine with no injuries. My car however was written off .
So im learning a lot about how insurance works etc...I have hire car at the moment but I believe as soon as payment is settled then all help is removedTo my disappointment I also think that the full payment for the insurance then becomes due.
The good news is that my loan for my car will be paid off - so that is a further 7k reduced from my debts.
But then I need to pay out £750 for the insurance and I have no car at all.
I do have my 1k saved for emergency and also around 1k saved for other things like clothes, school coaches and other yearly payments which will become due at some point.
I just feel like at the moment that ive worked hard to get into this position over the last year and this is going to wipe it all out.....I'll be saving and starting again.
Positives - I don't know what I would have done if this was 12 months ago so I am in a better position and if I can do it once then I can do it again.0 -
