Does a default notice have to come with Royal Mail or other snail mail provider?

Hi to all readers;

Like many forum members, I found myself struggling to meet minimum payments to my creditors.

As a result of the advice contained in this invaluable forum, I ceased paying my creditors in August.

My plan is to self manage a DMP.

I have had some paper letters; lots of emails and some phone calls (unanswered and subsequently blocked the numbers).

I have received an email today from Pulse card. (formerly NewDay)
The subject of the email declares:  Important Letter to View: Default Notice
I am then invited to view to message on the Pulse app. I deleted all apps associated with creditors and removed all associated passwords from my password manager.

Accordingly, I am unable to log in to any relevant apps.
I cannot reply to the email as it has come from an unmonitored mailbox.
If it is an actual 'default notice', will something come in the post?

Thank you again for your continuing advice.

    The 2004 version of the periodic update added it must be in paper form but unfortunately  The Consumer Credit (Enforcement, Default and Termination Notices) Regulations 1983 is one that isn't maintained online so you can only see it as it was in 1983 not showing all the changes.

    Can't see an update after 2004 that removed the requirement for it to be on paper but that isn't to say there isn't one

    The law doesn't require it to be delivered by Royal Mail though, many banks use the likes of UK Mail for business post.

    Thanks for the update. I have amended my post title to reflect the alternative to RM.

    Doesn't really matter if you don`t receive any default notices, just keep checking your credit report, they will show on there if, or when a default gets registered.
