Fast and quiet tumble dryer?

Our lovely AEG condenser tumble dryer has died after 5 years. My main problem with it was that it took over 2 hours to dry if the load was large. Ideally I would like a quiet replacement as well as it is in the kitchen. Can anyone recommend a tumble dryer that is fast and quiet?

    2 hours to dry may be more related to the spin speed of your washing machine, rather than the dryer.  This assumes its a condenser and not a heat pump dryer.  They take ages and ours lasted just 4 years.

    What model AEG?  Heat pump or conventional condenser?

    Heat pump condenser dryers take longer to dry but use a lot less energy than conventional condenser dryers or vented dryers.

    Five years is an awfully short lifespan for a dryer.
