You might want to check on the access to work expectations - I read this idea of yours as the VA not supporting you in your job, but being treated more as an employee.

If I understand your post correctly, you have thrown £70K plus at keeping this business afloat in the past four years.  Is it realistically possible to return it to a level playing field?  On the face of it I would not be convinced that the business is viable or profitable, and hasn't been for some time - on the basis that you need to keep pumping that amount of cash into it.  I think you need an exit plan for the business and a return to paid employment.  Once you have a stable situation with respect to income you will be in a better position to form a plan for dealing with the debt.
