Hi all, When a company sell's a debt that has a ccj on it, Does the new company have to go back to court to change the ccj?

No... and yes
They can pursue the debt as a normal debt and usually that is what they do. Many times they will be unaware there is a ccj on it.
But if they want to enforce the ccj they will need to do that through the court and show that they are now the legal owner1
