NatWest mortgage OP not showing

Earlier today (2pm) I made my first overpayment which was the max overpayment of 20% of the balance to an IO sub-account.

The site said that the overpayment would be registered in a couple of hours, but it still isn't showing.

Thr money has left my account so it looks like it's gone through. Can anyone speak from experience how long it should take to reflect on my mortgage balance and show up as a positive transaction that will reduce my mortgage balance?

Their systems won’t update immediately on your internet banking.
Sometimes when I make an overpayment to Halifax it takes a couple of days to show but always shows the correct payment date.
    Don’t stress about it.

When I used to work for RBS/Natwest if there was a problem with a payment, it would sometimes go into a suspense account. But once resolved it would be applied to the account with the correct date and any overpayment of interest would be corrected. It was normally done within a week.

But you should really call Natwest. See what they say, I left RBS about 15 years ago so things may have changed.

Thanks both - I’ve since received a confirmation email that the payment has been received, so hopefully it updates on mortgage account at some point in the next few days.
