Best ways to make a large single purchase 50k ++

Options
Hi out there. We are about to buy a motorhome with our pension lump sum and we would appreciate advise on how to go about this in the most efficient and rewarding way. We cannot get interest free finance so that's not an option and jiggling saving accounts or credit card juggling etc is not going to be thing we want to get into..  I guess its kickbacks and or points kind of a question. Thanks in advance

It is really down to the easiest way to make the purchase from an administration perspective.

It is unlikely that you can pay that much on credit card, so the route to points / rewards via that route is limited.  It may be convenient for the deposit. Because of the value of the motorhome, S75 will not be available.

The motorhome trader may offer linked finance which may include some "incentives" so may be worth taking for that reason.  Subject to limits, S75A protection may be available (cap at just over £62k).  If you take finance with incentives, you can settle early and avoid the interest costs.
  • Thanks for your responses. I knew we were limited to what would work for us … But needed to run it passed you guys as there's nothing as irritating as some saying ohh you should have done it this way and you would have got blaa blaa back..
    Cheers
