EU 2-pin plug
It is £70 in Tesco (but out of stock) and £75 on the Tesco website.
Online seems to be £60, but the site keeps reverting to an option with EU 2-pin plug. I know that I expect the item to come with a 2-pin plug (which then needs a razor adaptor) but is the UK 2-pin plug the same as EU 2-pin plug?
I can't seem to locate a device via the website that is pink plus has the carry case plus has UK 2-pin plug.
(It is a gift so the colour is important.)

According to WikiDifferences between BS4573 Type C and Europlug Type C. The BS4573 plug has round 5.1mm contacts, spacing 16.7mm. The Europlug has 4mm contacts, spacing 19mm. In order to plug a Europlug into a BS4573 socket, an adapter is required. However, it may also be possible to force the Euro plug into British sockets.
Both should fit into a shaver adaptor.

They aren't the same (the isolated UK 2-pin plug has the pins closer together), but many sockets and adapters are designed so that you can fit both types.

• The poor only have expenses.
• The middle class buy liabilities they think are assets.0 -
Thank you both - I am not sure that "force" the EU plug into a British socket is a good idea.
I will try to locate a product with the UK plug.0 -

A shaver adaptor, either the 3 pin converter or the bathroom one is not a "British socket" though, they are universal.

Many thanks, but the UK one does not seem to include the travel case. The EU one does.Rodders53 said:Type < oral b io pink > into Amazon search and you get two at £60 less 1p one EU and the other UK...

I'm a huge fan of an electric toothbrush, but although I have a travel case I only use a manual brush when traveling - too much hassle lugging the brush, (and potentially the charger) the cost of replacement if I left it behind...Grumpy_chap said:

You could always get an approved Euro 2 pin to UK 3 pin adapter, loads of imported from EU stuff comes with these fitted.

Thanks for the comments everyone - based on the comments of "should" fit or "force" fit, I realised that my propensity to keep all sorts of random and wholly useless junk (just in case there is ever a need for it) means I have several EU two-pin plugs in a drawer that were originally packed with mobile phones or some such. I tested one in the shaver adaptor and it fits perfectly so proceeded to order the toothbrush.
Thanks for all the assistance.1 -
The toothbrush arrived today and, after all that querying about EU / UK plugs, it duly had a sub-box in the pack labelled "CORD - GB" and a standard two-pin shaver plug.1
