Car Finance

Has anyone had any dealings with Stellantis Financial Services for car finance? I recently bought a car and the company use Stellantis. I have tried making extra payments on their website but nothing goes through. Impossible to get hold of an advisor online or over the phone.

Does anyone know if you can use a credit card to settle finance with Stellantis (if I ever get a hold of them) or is it possible to change the finance to a different company?

Thanks.

They are the manufacturers finance arm for the Stellantis group (Vauxhall, Fiat, Peugeot, Citroen, Jeep etc), so not a small fly by night finance company.

Typically you will not be allowed to settle finance by credit card.

What is you are trying to achieve? You have put to pay extra payments (partial balance) and to settle finance (fully pay off).

Are you trying to use the 14 day cool off period to cancel the finance, or pay it off early post the 14 day limit? Or just pay off more than the monthly payment?

Not Stellantis, but another manufacturers finance arm when I wanted to cancel the finance under the 14 day cooling off period I just emailed them the request and the sent back the settlement figure and where to pay it too.

Or are you just not happy with Stallantis and and want to change finance companies? I suppose you could find someone else to take finance from and then use the money to pay off the Stellantis finance. May not be the best way value wise, but no expert as never looked into it.

I wasn't interested in changing finance companies until I discovered how difficult Stellantis were to deal with. Initially I just wanted to pay a bit extra in to the finance each month to reduce the interest and term time. I thought if I could pay off fully by credit card I could just wash my hands of Stellantis and pay the credit card off.

    Thanks for your reply.

Not allowing card payments isn't unusual for finance companies, when paying off the PCP balloon with RCI (Nissan, Renault) they would only take a bank transfer. Additional payments by debit card were allowed but not by credit card.

Do you have an online account?
Stellantis Finance don't seen to have a problem with card payments.
How can I make a payment?

Payment can be made by credit or debit card via the your online account. You will just need to log in or register to make payment.

    Bank transfer:
    Sort Code: 60-00-01
    Account Number: 83609520

Please don’t forget to include your agreement number as the reference so that we can identify your payment.

Thanks I didn't realise you could do a bank transfer.

I have tried paying by debit card on my online account and I get a notification saying it will take 7-10 days but that time has passed and nothing has come out of my account. They haven't even taken any of the scheduled payments from my account and there should of been 2 by now. I would normally be happy at someone not taking money but my fear is that at some point they're going to want a large sum all at once.

Do you not have a direct debit set up for the scheduled payments?
If not get it done pronto as 3 in arrears will have a massive implication on your credit files - I would go so far as to say make the 2 missing payments by bank transfer now!

Yes I have it set up, when I go on to my online account it is all set up as it should be with correct bank details hence why I have been trying to get a hold of them and am starting to get annoyed at their unavailability.
