Advice needed re financial support for daughter

Can someone advise what financial support my 35 year old, single mum, daughter might get if she does a one year, taught, masters degree next year? She is currently in her 3rd year of her BSc.
Or would she be expected to go out to work after her BSc. She is striving very hard to give herself the best employment prospects in the line of work she is studying, which is environment and ecology.
Trying to work out if she could manage financially, as not sure I could help with it.

I think many students going onto PG studies get postgrad loans, some are very lucky and get scholarships to pay the fees, some may get bursaries. My 2 DC did masters and got loans for the fees and savings / PT job to keep themselves. Honestly no sure what funding there might be available for your daughter's family though1

It's worth asking the course leaders / admin team about what financial support might be available for that specific course.Signature removed for peace of mind1

Could she do the course part time over two years, obviously along with a part time job, rather than one year full time? That is what a friend of mine did a few years ago for similar reasons and the near impossibility of getting funding or a grant.reheat said:Can someone advise what financial support my 35 year old, single mum, daughter might get if she does a one year, taught, masters degree next year? If you've not yet seen it, this might help: https://www.gov.uk/funding-for-postgraduate-studyGoogling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!1

Thank everyone.
While our daughter is doing her BSc she gets universal credit, as well as child allowance for her two children. Do we know if she would still be entitled to UC while doing an MSc, or would they say no she must work. The government loan would mostly be consumed by the Uni fees.Favours are returned ... Possibly, because she has a child. See https://www.gov.uk/guidance/universal-credit-and-students#:~:text=You%20cannot%20usually%20get%20Universal,There%20are%20some%20exceptions.&text=you're%20disabled%2C%20were%20assessed,Personal%20Independence%20Paymentreheat said:Thank everyone.

Thanks, yes looks like you are right. She is currently entitled to UC with BSc. Not normally entitled, but being responsible for a child is one of the exceptions, and I'd overlooked that the same applies for postgraduate degrees.Marcon said:
