Text from Insurance company to rate call handler that costs me money?

I recently made a change to my car insurance.
The next day I got an sms from that company asking me to rate the call handler over four questions. Each time I answered a question I got a message from my phone saying I was going to be charged to send the text.
The call handler was indeed very helpful and sorted out a stupid mistake I'd made, however I'm wondering if this was actually from the insurance company.
Has anyone else come across this?

I often get text questionnaire's following phone calls with various companies. The companies use third party organisations to carry out these questionnaires - nothing odd about that. I tend to find that the text message gets taken out of my included texts, so I don't get charged...but this would depend on the number you're texting and your mobile phone contract.

Not uncommon for companies to do it and certainly some insurers do.
They cannot know or control what the terms of your mobile contract is so whilst they may choose not to use a premium number if you get any charge or not depends on your choice of provider. In most cases for me at least its been a standard rate text for which my contract gives me an unlimited number so didnt directly cost me anything1 -
I have where I was warned it could cost me and therefore choose not to continue.1
