its a bit of a discovery of a secret society, haven't completely planned the direction of the story yet.julicorn said:
Oh really, that's so cool! What are you working on?trix-a-belle said:hahaha literally what i've ended up doing in the last few months too
I had a bit of a mad flurry of reading easy read romance type stuff the other year to distract my brain & inadvertently ended up proof reading for an author I found. I've now done 4 books for her so far which prompted me to have a go as I had some plot ideas which she incorporated into some of the ones i've been involved with. Tempted to try and turn it into a bit of a side gig too.- Mortgage: 1st one down, 2nd also busted
- Student Loan gone
Swagbucks, Mingle, GiffGaff, Prolific, Qmee & Quidco; thank you MSE every little bit helps2 -
That sounds excellent! Really cool that you've already had some of your ideas incorporated into books. Can't wait to hear more about your secret society book, keep us postedtrix-a-belle said:

I have written 3 but never got them to publishing stage .. on my list of todos
DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Work was horrendously stressful at times this week, but I still managed to write a bit of my book every evening. Up to 7,500 words already, so not bad progress I'd say! It'll need edits no doubt but I've done some refinements already on what I've written so far, and am reasonably happy with where it's going.
We also got paid, and together with some more positive market movements, our overall net worth (i.e. including house and mortgage and everything) has just surpassed half a million, which is kind of mad when I think about it.
Spent a really nice couple of hours at the allotment today as well, it was so sunny and actually felt quite warm weirdly! It felt quite lucky that we had such a nice weather day today, given the storm yesterday morning and the rain we're meant to be getting tomorrow.
I hope you're all having a good weekend too

Thank you @seventh88 ! You've also shown me I need to brush up on my Only Fools and Horses references, especially as they weirdly play a role in the book I'm writing
