Yes absolutely. Check out any you are offered- most of the cheap ones are made in China, have a short life and produce less power0

I have two systems on the same roof, the Trina system gets the sun a few min early over the sharp system, todays generation looks like this:
Trina solar/Growatt system (4.6kWp 3 years old) made 5.5kWp (=1.195kWp /kW for each kW of generation.
Sharp/solar Edge + Optimizers 5.9kWp (8 weeks old) made 7.28 kWp (=1.223kWp /kW for each kW of generation.
The Sharp system was about £30 less to install. Make sure the installer is MCS registered, usual advice is to install as many panels as you can/afford while tha scaffolding is up.
regards. nologo.

I've helped 175+ homeowners with their installations - almost all have Sharp followed by Solarwatt & REC panels. Not a single issue to date and the newest generation of bifacial panels are superb.
There are few products that can compete on price with the low end, low ethics Chinese owned brands, while offering a 25/30 year guarantee (not the same as a warranty from those brands).
- 10 x 400w LG + 6 x 550W SHARP BiFacial Panels + SE 3680 HD Wave Inverter + SE Optimizers. SE London.
- Triple aspect. (22% ENE/ 33% SSE/ 45% WSW)
- Viessmann 200-W on Advanced Weather Comp. (the most efficient gas boiler sold)Feel free to DM me if I can help with any energy saving!0
