Morning again, it's dry out there, might be another nice day.
I went out yesterday to a local shopping centre to Mata*an, hunting for a jacket I'd seen online, but it was out of stock. Had a look round while I was in there, they had some nice stuff. I didn't buy anything though.
When I got home I just pottered, there's always a job or two needing doing.
I don't know what's happening today, no particular plans. The little hellhole that we call a utility room needs painting, but there's so much stuff in there we can't face emptying it. There's a little damp patch in one corner needs dealing with as well, there's always something isn't there. Heyho, it'll get done at some point.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care whatever you are doing.11 -
Morning, thanks for starting us Scarlet. Still pretty dark here but doesn't seem as cold as recently. We have had some lovely autumnal days but the weather is forecast to change this week. We had a coal delivery yesterday so bring it on.
I've been mia the last couple of days, rl took over and I've been supporting my dd. Nothing has been sorted with dgds school, dd says they appear to be dragging their heels, so in the meantime dgd is to be kept at home doing online lessons, not ideal at all.
I did a big shop yesterday, well big for me. The supermarket was heaving and reminded me why I don't shop at weekends, but needs must. Just need to sort out the fridge and freezer now. Will probably do a roast later.
Time to take big dog out, have a good day everyone.
Love to all x

Morning All
Damp and drizzly this morning, yesterday turned into quite a decent day and quite mild too.
The wedding was lovely even though I didn't know the couple! I was invited with another friend to go but the other friend wasn't well so I went on my own - a bit torturous at times being on my own but the chat was good and the meal delicious. I left before the band started for the 2 hour drive home so was shattered when I got in. On the plus side I got a good cuddle with the new baby when I called at DS1's to get ready as they are only 20 minutes away from the venue.
As the wedding was in a distillery we had a tour which was very interesting although I can't stand whisky so one of the other guests had my little taster (and I was driving home).
I've nothing planned today apart from some washing and I'm determined to sew up this cardigan for the little one or it'll not fit her.
Hope all's well in your worlds, have a peaceful Sunday. Take care. XX11 -
Morning all from a dank and dreary Mehefinland
Gosh it was dark this morning when the alarm went off. Some overnight rain had dampened everything but not to excess thankfully.
A strange day yesterday. My neighbour's DH has damaged his knee somehow and it swollen up and painful. Called on to help walk the dogs. Glad to help as they have been so supportive and it's good to be able to give something back. So I ended up walking a manic Cardigan Corgi called Cooper. He is just a bundle of energy!
In the afternoon Hele came and rode Showman out for me, then we did some ground work in the paddock. She has lost her voice and was very squeaky so Showman wasn't really getting the voice commands. All was well in the end. It was quite emotional seeing someone else riding him ( I didn't tell Hele though as I think she is very conscious of how I am feeling and is trying hard not to tread on toes_). She has caught the bug though and is talking about getting a beastie for herself. OH has to be convinced, but I am sure she will get her way - a very determined lady in everything she does.
Council is coming tomorrow to collect 2 dead freezers which have been languishing in the outhouse for ages, so I shall have to drag them out to the roadside later. In the old days would have probably put them in the car and gone to the tip( and saved a significant sum) but not any more.
I find television programmes we used to enjoy such as 'Strictly' leave me cold now, and I just cannot be bothered with them. I wonder if it's me, or something else, but the constant racket is so irritating and unnecessary. When did I turn into Victor Meldrew?
Hugs and spoons as always

Morning all, it's dark and dreary though not yet too cold.Picking up my meds yesterday took only a short time and then I sort of slobbed a bit. All my good intentions stayed that way. Everything is lined up ready to start cooking and I did nada with it, apart from making some potato salad again.@Mehefin - I also find the constant noise and whooping so annoying so I mute the TV inbetween dances and read the subtitles, so much easier to watch. It's the same with other programmes and especially the adverts on the other channels. My ears almost hurt and my brain sizzles with upset. Not Victor Meldrew, just changes in ears and tolerance!@Camelot - a cuddle with your littlest one sounds perfect. This morning I have changed the bed linen so now have a pile of bedding on the utility room floor. It'll stay there until later on today as I'll time the washing machine to finish just before bedtime. Going up my stairs is still rather difficult. On Saturdays and Sundays I like to listen to the madness of Radcliffe and Maconie on radio 6 music, today is 'slow Sunday' which meant I lingered rather too long in bed drifting away to the wafting tunes.I have sausages which need to be roasted today. I'll look at the soup ingredients and cucumber salad stuff later.Happy Sunday to all, I hope that the forecasted rain is not too horrible.11

Morning all, it's dark and raining here and not very nice outside, but I'm not going anywhere so that's ok.
Yesterday I kept sorting and decluttering, this time 2 kitchen cupboards. Lots of stuff went out including some biscuit cutters as sadly I don't think I'll be needing them again, but I did keep a couple for just in case.
Today will be a day of sloth except for getting dinner. I took some beef out to defrost for today and noticed too late that I had left out a bag of 6 sausages so they will have to be cooked too.
Have a good Sunday, keep warm and well.
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10 -
Morning everyone we set off this morning to go to an outlet store but the car has a fault on it waiting for the RAC to come we didn’t get far when we had to turn back I think we are going to be getting a newer car next year it’s 9 years old but it only has 40000 miles on we will see more money . So I don’t know how I’m going to fill my day in housework I think . I’m another that gets sick of the whooping and screeching on programs but I’ve also given up on some where it doesn’t matter how loud you have the television they are mumbling but the background music is blasting I’m definitely victor meldrew . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning all
Dry here for now but we are due rain from lunchtime onwards and then for the rest of the week, I have stripped the beds this morning and got the bedding on a hot wash they will have to be dried indoors today.
No roast today although I fancy one now, I have some chicken thighs out to cook so will either do a sesame and garlic / honey marinade and rice or do a mini roast will decide later.
Gers thanks for the cucumber recipe I have bookmarked it and will try it at some point it sounds delicious xx
I have a bit of gammon to cook today I will put it in the sc after this then we will have it cold tomorrow with chips and make a carbonara for Tuesday.
Edited to say I have never been a fan of strictly I just don’t get it at all ! Very Victor Meldrew here 😂
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
