Post Discharge "Non debt" sold on.

Options
Afternoon,

Long time since my last post on the forum..

All gone swimmingly and is the second best forum I've found ( Apologies,  but the Urban Art Association ) took first place.

So, declared BR in 2020, Discharged in 2021, cleaned up my credit file with all the lenders.... or so I thought..

A previous Credit card debt has been sold on by Lloyds to a company called Link Finical, which has popped up as a new account on my credit file.

Spoke with Link who have said they won't enforce the debt due to the BR, but my question is, why would Lloyds sell this debt on in Sept 24 after being fully aware of my BR and discharge.

Thank you.

They do it because they can.  Because they haven't updated their records correctly.  Because they are idiots.

It happens quite a lot unfortunately.

Lots of posts currently about bankruptcy debts being sold years after discharge, and your lenders name keeps popping up as does Link as well.

Totally unenforceable, but annoying that it has re-appeared on your credit file.

Go down the complaints route, ask for compensation for there stupidity, escalate to the FOS/ICO if you can, make trouble for them, get some money out of them, earn them a rap on the knuckles, it might make them think twice next time.
