Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers.
Great pictures Allie, enjoy those views!
Hope your family situation is resolved soon Remmie.
It's foggy out this morning but due to brighten up later so I have a wash load in and will hang it out before I go to work. I must clear the laundry out later as the heating chap is coming tomorrow to service the boiler, he does friends across the road too so they can let him in.
We had a meeting for the new allotments at 5 yesterday, lovely and sunny when it started and freezing cold by the time it finished, I was frozen and had to resort to the heated throw when I got home.
Hope you get to see Rob today Ruby, it's such a shame for him that he can't spend more days with you.
Right, off to the shower for me, have a good day. Take care. XX11 -
I stayed in bed a bit longer to look at the beautiful twinkling stars until they vanished in the dawn. This always fascinates me. Of course, this clear sky means that it's cold outside. Last night the sunset was bright red so I'm hoping for another lovely day. Oh, there's bands of pink clouds appearing out of the greyness now.Whilst the cleaner was here I decided to visit the newly re-opened museum which had been refurbished and extended. Lots and lots of excavated Neolithic artefacts, including an intact Whitby jet necklace. I should have gone much earlier as I enjoyed it. The downside is that the previous cafe which did very tasty food has been replaced by a standard burger and chips place calling itself a 'bistro'. Not sure that the owners know what a real bistro is.The escapee cows were finally all put into a field with proper fences and walls. Seems that they were looking for their calves which had gone to market the day before and didn't much like being confined to the farmyard. Peace now has returned, apart from huge flights of geese streaming past. This morning I have a nail appointment so I have to stop watching the sky. I missed this so much when with my beloved DM in her city home. Right, must start my day properly. I hope that all are well, warm and dry.13

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It seems to be fine this morning, we might go out somewhere.
Yesterday wasn't bad, took some shopping to a friend, stayed for a chat, then came home. I had a bit of housework to do, and put some washing out.
Hope everyone had as good a day as they can, thinking of our poorly people.
Take care folks.13 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. Lovely pic Allie, enjoy the rest of your holiday. I hope the weather is kind as most of us are forecast a nice spell of better weather for a little while.
I had a good trip out with bus buddy yesterday and it felt quite warm on the sunny side of the market. Not so the sunless side! After two days of gallivanting/dining out I am grounded today so no excuse for ignoring a few necessary jobs. I am sure I was born to be a lady of leisure but something went wrong!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad, worried or lonely. REMMIE I hope your problem is resolving. RUBY we went to Barcelona some years back in January time so I expect you will have similar weather. It was quite chilly early morning and evening but the days perfect for sightseeing and tripping about, just a light jacket needed. But in these days of climate change who knows what it could be like! Take care all, be safe x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning all, seems like an ok morning, bit cloudy, bit of blue- it'll do for me. Your skies sound lovely atm Gers.Yesterday I cleaned and sorted my food cupboard, that involved me sitting on a mini stool so I could see in it without bending down! I made a loaf in the bm, not done one for a while, so DH has his sandwich made with that today. I may slice and freeze the rest as I have a T delivery in an hour or so.DGS came back from his school trip to Whitby, they spent 3 days there, pretty late back though so his DM picked him up as they are a lot nearer to school than DS2.We have a new family whats app group to arrange my DNiece's 21 birthday 'do' in a month or so, it seems that we can all make it so that will be nice. After my walk yesterday I got out some cardmaking stuff and made a few, so may do some more today. A glue tape thingy I bought seems to have broken, the roll inside isn't sticky. I do have plenty of double sided glue tape so that will have to do.Hopefully you will all have a good day. Weather update, the sky has completely cleared now
Take care all.

Morning, a chilly start but it looks like the sun is trying to come through.
Thank you for all your kind thoughts for my family. It seems that things are worse than previously thought and dgd has been taken out of school while questions are raised, so I won't say too much until we hear more, and believe me there's plenty to say. My poor dd is having to cope with dgd who she says is like a pressure cooker letting off steam.
Haven't a clue what's for dinner but I know there's sausages in the freezer so probably do them with mash and onion gravy.
TA my thoughts are with you and the family.
Love to all x

Morning. Can you believe it's not raining here yet? And I saw a breif flash of sun yesterday. Tiler came to look yesterday, he was a veritable whirlwind but is ok with the ones we got. Got the keys for the allotment yesterday so I'll try and get down there for a brief visit today or tomorrow and see what's most urgent. My onion sets are on the way...OH is painting the bathroom ceiling this morning, I may be doing a mist coat on the last wall plastered, it looks pretty dry to me, then I'll start with the real stuff. I'm not feeling much motivated this morning, could do with a bit more sleep. Other than that, just the usual stuff...Camelot, hope the meeting was productive. Gers, looking at the changing sky sounds lovely, glad your coos are back safe. TA, I think I was supposed to be one too
SO, very forward thinking of you, it's always good to be prepared. Rosy, good news for your DH! nanny, well done Mr Fixit, very mse! So far I haven't had a problem with the NHS app and ordering but then, there is an in house pharmacy at my doctors. Ruby, that's a bit cheeky phoning that late, does it work if you tell her to let you kno earlier or does she carry on as she does anyway? snoozer, must have been difficult, I know OHs sister has a kind of memorial each year for hers. Or at least a day of reflection type thing. Izzy, how much is left from the baking? I'm just going to make a sugo for lasagne today, pasta tomorrow, lasagne for the weekend
remmie, how carp for everyone involved, let's hope it is sorted quickly. Take care all, wrap it, there was a frost this morning...

Morning everyone just a quick one I’m off out to a cleaning job in a minute they are a lovely couple but he isn’t well at all and I think it’s because I only see them once a week I get a shock when I go he’s losing a lot of weight it’s sad to see . We had a touch of frost this morning but it’s bright which cheers you up a bit . Stir fry tonight hubby can have some quiche at lunch time that I made yesterday I’ve got soup I would love some quiche but I would end up with heartburn for about 3 days off the pastry. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Good morning everyone
It's bright but chilly here this morning but so much better than all that rain. I'm off to the hairdressers at lunchtime for an afternoon appointment. Much prefer an early appointment as battling with the school children on the bus home is not my idea of fun.
No shopping required, tea will be the remaining beef stew from yesterday and very tasty it was. I still have lots of tomatoes sitting on the window sill sunbathing, putting them with bananas to hasten ripening is working well too.
I have booked my flu and covid injections across the next couple of weeks, I was advised after breast cancer to avoid having injections in my right arm so have to have them both in the one arm.
Thinking of the sad and the poorlies as always
Take care x10 -
Morning all, brrr it's cold, still only 6 degrees and I had to put an extra cover on the bed last night. The sun is shining today though and the wm is on, fingers crossed it will dry as it's due to be the best day of the week. Mr Fix It went down with a cold yesterday evening, no idea where he's got it from and I hope I don't catch it. I've got my nurses hat on today so I'll be supplying him with lots of fluids and TLC.
There is some meat in the fridge bought from the van yesterday that needs splitting, bagging and freezing so I'll do that too. They are such a lovely family business and can't thank you enough for your purchases.
For tea tonight I fancy a warming curry and I spotted a HM one in the freezer, I found some sm bhajis and samosas in there too, tea sorted !
Take care all, hugs to anyone in need or poorly.
