Employer stealing pension money
Felixjelly
Have worked at the same business for over 5 years, In May 24 the original company was dissolved & is showing as this on companies house website. A new person took over as director of the business but they are not in the building (I've no idea who they are)
On my payslips from June to now the dissolved company is still listed as paying my wages but my pension money that is deducted every month is not going to my pension. My pension provider & pension ombudsman can't help me as the company listed as deducting the money on my payslip doesn't exist. Absolutely no help at all from manager of business she walks away or shuts office door if we ask questions.
How do I get my money back???
Tax & national insurance still being paid to HMRC under dissolved company name.

Is it possible the pension deductions are going to a different pension provider?
If not then it's effectively fraud
Are HMRC actually receiving the due PAYE payments from the company? The company maybe submitting the monthly return, but may not actually be paying it over.

Get onto the Pensions Regulator too.0

I have not been informed that the work place pension has moved to a different provider, I’ve not been informed anything about the company being dissolved or changing hands. I only found out the money was missing after checking my pension statement. My government gateway account shows the same amounts as my payslips & that I’m still employed by the dissolved company0

Then you and your colleagues need to get considerably more insistent and determined until she does give answers. Meekly letting her wriggle out of responding isn't the answer.Felixjelly said:Have worked at the same business for over 5 years, In May 24 the original company was dissolved & is showing as this on companies house website. Who do they bank with? You could tell them they are running an account for a company that doesn't exist.
Otherwise threaten to walk out.0 -
While a little light on detail, from what you've said you should be looking for another job pronto. Sounds like this one isn't going to last long.0
