Trying to find my pension provider

So, I contacted my ex-employer about 2 months ago by letter requesting details of where my pension plan is held.  I've also chased up via telephone but they still haven't responded.  All I am asking for is the pension provider so I can contact them direct, is there any way I can enforce my request?

Probably not, unless it's an occupational scheme (one set up and run by the employer purely for current and past employees) - and as you don't know that, it could be a pointless exercise pressing.

    Have you tried https://www.gov.uk/find-pension-contact-details

Alternatively, if you give your ex-employer name here (no reason not to), someone might be able to help.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

How long were you with that employer?
When were you with that employer?  (i.e. recent or are we talking 1980s or thereabouts)

What details do you have on the pension scheme?
If it was defined contribution, then you would have had statements at least annually.
Regardless of pension type, you would have had a welcome letter and instructions.
If it was defined benefit, then you would have had an annual benefit statement for as long as you were an active member.

Are you saying you have no info about the pension at all? You must have received some correspondence about it at some point ?
