Does anyone use JamDoughnut

an acquaintance mentioned something called Jamdoughnut for gift cards. I registered but just wanted to get a bit of reassurance and experience form other users before i buy any gift cards. Thanks

Personally I'd never buy gift cards - they restrict your buying choices to particular outlets, and you run the risk of the retailer going bust and you losing your money completely.

Even MSE warns against gift cards:

  • Yes i use it. The thing with this is you only be precise then gift card immediately before you use it i.e. in store when you know how much you need e.g. in Sainsbury's you use the "gun" to do your shopping, at the end see what the total is, but the gift card on jamdoghnut and check out with it.
  • Probably leave it. I have people doing something like that on the till when I am serving them. Tbh it's not ideal while next people are being held up while someone faffs about.
  • People should be more considerate... It can be all done before you approach the till!

Use it a lot, over 100 well known high street brands, always use pumped up rates which normally occur around payday sometimes a whole month. I easily get back £40-50, sometimes upto £70 a month. On a  family celebration event in a restaurant got a £50 cashback in one transaction. Best thing is the cashback is instant on gift card purchases 99% of the time. Can use cashback which goes into your cashpot to either get more gift cards or cash out (min £10) for 30p fee, I normally wait till I have got £100 then cash out

    Thank you 😊
  • I too use it all the time. Easy to buy a voucher before you get to the till . Voucher arrives in seconds. Am about to withdraw my earnings for the year to pay for my Christmas food shop !

I have used them for about a year now and never had any issues and if you shop a lot in the main supermarkets the cashback soon builds up.

we saved it all up during the year last year and cashed out for a Sainsburys giftcard and it paid for our Christmas food shopping so we was very happy with that.

I use it on and off.  The one time recently it was handy was when I walked to the Tesco Supermarket and realised I'd left my bank card at home, I was able to buy £20 gift card as it connects to my bank account and saved me walking back home and back again to the store.  I've had £10 for free from using it, so I am surprised to read someone earning £50 a month from it.  You would need to be spending thousands of pounds per month to earn that.
