Hi,
I need some advice due to personal challenges I made a stupid decision and took out multiple phone contacts and now they have amount up and I’m struggling to pay them. They are all amount up and my income along with living cost and other debts doesn’t allow me to see a way I can afford to pay them each month without having no money to my name.

Did you take out contracts with mobile phones ?
If so sell the phones and use the money to continue to payEx forum ambassador

1. How much do you owe, across how many contracts?
2. What is your other income and expenditure?
Fill in this Statement of Affairs (SOA) and post it on here in the MSE format, this will help members to see if there are options available to you, and what they are.

I suspect the op has, or will soon have, a number of nonpriority debts with debt buyers like Lowell.
We are going to need more detail to give help. Could you please complete a statement of affairs?

I no longer have the phones to be able to sell. I will fill out the form today. There’s 5 phone contracts including my current one that I am actively using. So phone debt alone amounts to around 60000

After a period of time the mobile networks will default your accounts and sell the debts pretty quickly to the likes of Lowell or Cabot who in their own good time will then write to you introducing themselves, with a "we have bought your debt" letter.
Now from you stopping payment to whoever buys them writing to you, could be as long as a year, sometimes longer, or they may be more on the ball and it could be as little as 6 months, no way of knowing, but they are all non priority debts and you should only pay what you can afford to pay, however little that may be.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. The other thing to bear in mind is that if you stop paying for the phones the mobile networks will block them on all networks so that might cause you additional issues and needs factoring in to your process.0
