I had some work done at my house. I was left with trailing extension leads for years as there was no power to whole areas of the downstairs to my house. I refused to pay. Despite a report from an electrician to say that the work was poor, the electricians won?! I have to pay nearly £5k
I sent an N44 application to the court to ask to vary the payment, along with my outgoings. I worked on this with Step Change debt charity. I said could I do £50 a month for 10 months as I'm nearly or overdrawn per month. Id then get the new mortgage and add on the balance in 10 months. Apparently a letter was sent for a hearing to discuss. I never got this letter (why would I ignore what I've paid for)? I was marked as none attendance,. Now they're asking for £500 a month which I literally don't have (who does???). I've called and explained I never got it, they said the decision was final? What am I going to do? As someone registered as vulnerable because of my terrible mental health, I am really stressed.
any help would be amazing
