Income Tax deduction in Sept 2024 increase

I notice that more tax has been deducted on PAYE this month. My tax code is unchanged. What has happened?

Not sure how you think anyone can give a useful answer without some actual information.

Details from last 3 payslips would help, it could be as simple you were paying less than normal until this month i.e. first job in tax year started after April so you had some unused tax code allowances from earlier in the tax year.

Without more details no one can really say.  On a regular pay the deductions should only differ by 20-40p.

As advised details are needed for an explanation but there is one thing you can check, did this month's tax go up or was last months lowered for some reason.
