New job, but still nervous after a month

So I started as Asda 3 weeks ago and dont feel its gone well.
Theyve been great with the hours and changed them to what i wanted but the job itself is not great and i dont feel im getting better.
Im on the self scan area at a massive store. The first week i was kept with someone but the second I was left on my own so just got on with it, lots of asking questions but seemed ok.
This week though, it just seems to have gone bad.
The issue has been around Scan and Go stuff on Monday night. Machine said customer hadnt scanned something on quality check, but when I scanned it all again, it wasnt missing at all. And I had to do another full rescan because machine stopped scanning and i didnt notice. No one seems bothered but I feel crap about it.
Im due in tomorrow and Im sick to my stomach. This isnt like me at all, Id consider myself fairly confident but just feel out of my depth. The management arent great either and everyone seems so busy all the time.
What do i do??

When starting a new job its always a bit of a roller coaster, start of scared, then start getting confidence then that totally disappears and you're reaching for the brown trousers again but ultimately it does get better over time. There are some companies which are sink or swim very quickly but most reasonable companies will accept it takes a good few weeks for people to really get established.
What to do? Personally would say keep at it, it's likely any other job you get instead would also be scary whereas if you see this through you'll get more confident etc. If after 2 months you still feel its a crap job then look elsewhere but at least then its a considered decision not fleeing after one bad day.1 -
Ask if you can have a 'training reset'. Where I work (another large grocer) anyone can ask this and will get a 'buddy' for a few days until they feel confident again. Management should be pleased that you have picked up on your own need and asked.
As for the self scan, it's a machine, it goes wrong all the time; if you're going to feel bad because a machine isn't working properly you're definitely in the wrong job. Just laugh it off with the customer0 -
@FlorayG It was the Scan and Go that went wrong so customer totally peed off. She had scanned 82 items and then I had to rescan 82 items. Not a short amount of time and not a place to be laughing it off. She was angry and I was apologetic. Ive worked in lots of different retail but this is the first time Ive felt like this. the backup is not there.0
