    You're actually only being paid £14.80 ph if you're working a 65 hr week!
    If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales
  • Yeah the hourly rate doesn't break down so we'll when you compare it against the hours! That's my biggest argument

    Personally I would move to the new job. You dont owe your current employer any loyalty, frankly I think they are taking the p*ss
    Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)
  • Move, your company saying you may get a pay rise, but that wont happen in my experience.
    take the extra 9k get the experience in and still look for better paid position because as you get older the choices will grow thin and few.
    look after yourself not your boss, he wont give a sh*t if anything happens to you.
  • Large company in the energy sector.... is there a recognised trade union? You might find the culture is not one of working excess hours.
