Has anyone had any luck backdating a default from a debt collector?

I am now finally debt free after just over 6 years (yay), but a couple of my defaults still have a couple of years to go before they clear my record. I defaulted with the original lenders, and then defaulted again when the lenders sold the debt to collection agencies. This happened just over 18 months after the original default.
I know rules blah blah blah, but has anyone had any luck getting a debt collector to backdate any defaults in good faith?

The original lender has to default you before they sell it on, a debt only defaults once so if the owner of the debt has a different default date on your credit record you should definitely complain and ask them to show the original date."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0

Debts only default once, as above, the default date should remain the same no matter how many times the debt is sold on.
There may be multiple entries from old and new owners, but again, the default date should remain the same, and still drop off after 6 years.
I agree with sammyjammy if the new owners dates do not correspond with the original, file complaints and find out why.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
