in Cutting tax
Hi everyone . I rent in Manchester and pay my council tax monthly by direct debit . My council tax just informed me they undercharged me £355.for the last year .
They demanding full payment now 🥴.
I wondered if I can ask them to spread the debt over a period of months . £355 is a hefty bill for me right now and I don’t have it ?
Cheers

You can ask, but whether they agree or not will probably depend on the reason for underpayment. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Ask if the debt can be added to this years bill, and over 12 payments rather than 10.
