Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's a grey start here, like yesterday. Dry though.
Didn't do much yesterday, I went to our little high street for milk and bread. I should have bought some spuds but forgot - I can easily go out again today.
I''m busy with some sewing for myself, nothing essential, just a little patchwork shopping bag. I'll probably finish it today.
I haven't read back yet, hope everyone is ok.
Take care folks.

Morning all
A quick hello from Ayr before a ferry to Arran later.Probably having better weather than most though mornings and evenings are definitely autumnal.Lovely day at Dumfries House yesterday - it’s been done so well, immaculate everywhere but with a relaxed feel. And free to park and visit most of the site - you just pay for a house tour and/or the Walled Garden, the latter of which was only £3 and definitely worth it.Fingers crossed for little ones transfer soon

It's been a lovely bright early morning. I'm enjoying a few more minutes of sloth before starting my day properly.Yesterday I had a bit more admin to do about the car. The company given the repair job wanted photos and then the insurance company of the other driver rang to offer that they would take over the claim and do everything. I felt that my own insurers had organised the whole caboodle already so declined this.Once I've breakfasted and sorted out a few things I'll head off. I'm seeing the comedian Ed Byrne tonight and then the Rebus play tomorrow night. I'm looking forward to them both.I hope that everyone is doing fine. Hugs to our poorlies.11

Hi everyone,
We're having biblical rain and it's very dark. I shall avoid going out as much as possible.
I went with Laura to see a comedian in Cambridge, he posts a lot of stories on Instagram about living with young children -George Lewis. He was very funny. We had a lovely meal beforehand as well so all in all a great night.
My friend who lost her husband a few months ago is coming to dinner, I bought a piece of pork from the farm shop so hopefully it will be nice.
Have a good day.10 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. A dry start here and the rain isn't supposed to get up to us until through the night. Despite a cloudy day forecast for us yesterday the sun came out in the afternoon and I did more pottering and moving pots around in the back garden, with a few breaks to collapse on the seat and enjoy the sun.
Once I have been shopping with DS this morning I have no plans so it will probably be the usual Sunday of Sloth, feet up reading or watching tv. Strictly was much enjoyed last night after all the bother around it these last few months. For week 1 I was surprised at the high standard of quite a few of the dances.
Have a nice day if you can folks and ((HUGS)) as always for the poorlies or fed up. ALLIE enjoy your holiday, I am envious. Thinking of the MIA, take care and stay safe all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning, thanks for starting us off Gers.
Yesterday's predicted thunderstorms started about 5pm. At one point there was a really loud clap of thunder, the loudest I've ever heard. Luckily big dog was unperturbed by it and lay on his bed. Heavy rain now.
I settled down to watch Strictly when dd rang for a chat. Although she didn't say as much, I think her and my SiL are having a few problems atm. She'll tell me in her own good time, but it doesn't stop me mithering. She lives 200 miles away so I can't just pop round for a cuppa. Kids eh, we never stop worrying about them.
Roast chicken dinner today and apple and blackberry crumble after, although I've just checked and I haven't got any custard. I'm not going out in this weather to get some, we'll go without.
Keeping fingers crossed for dgd dp1, hope she gets back to her own hospital today.
Love to all x11 -

Morning everyone
Still quite dull here but no rain so I hung the washing out before I made my breakfast.
Good news at last - little one is getting transferred to Newcastle today. Hope they don't wait too long or she'll be driving DD mad. The car will still be in Edinburgh but that will be sorted at some point.
My cold seems to have reached its peak this morning, it's a good job I don't have to go out today. I was woken this morning by a really vivid and quite unpleasant dream, one of those ones where you're not quite sure if it was real....it wasn't nice at all.
Eldest DD messaged this morning, she's now staying at a camp in the rainforest in Borneo with 4 English boys, an Argentinian girl and an English girl...she was about to go on her first trip along the river.
Well I've a pile of clothes on little ones' bed to sort and list on Vinted - I've sold almost all I had on so I'll try some more....so I'll get up and on with that. Hope everyone has a good day x7 -
Morning All
Dry again but no sunshine, seems like the same as yesterday. The washing was nearly dry when I got home, it's been on the airer overnight so is now all put away.
Hope you get something for the UTI Coxy.
Have a good time Gers.
I'm sure your DD will talk to you soon remmie, you're right, we never stop worrying about them.
Must go shopping this morning, the fridge is an expanse of white! I called at Sainsbury's on my way to meet the family yesterday but decided against paying their prices.
Lovely meal out with DS1, his DP and the very little one - she was very well behaved! I had a good cuddle so that's me set up for a while.
I've been swimming this morning at the pool, can't believe how unfit I've become. Now there's not so much to do in the garden/allotment I should be able to go more often.
Hope everyone is doing ok and you all have a very peaceful Sunday. Take care. XX
