Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Dry here and was lovely and clear but as dawn breaks there's a mist coming down. Hope it clears as I have a white wash on the line that I did last night.
Yesterday was really warm again, I tidied up in the garden for a while and sorted out the shed - everything has now been put away for the winter. Put more screenwash in the car and hoovered that out, not sure where I go but the carpets are always filthy!
Hoping to hear good news about the little one dp1.
Feel better soon Coxy - are you giving up work when you move?
Friday again thank goodness, I'm looking forward to a weekend of nothing much but a rest. Take care. XX10 -
Happy Friday everyone
Another crazy day yesterday getting things sorted as going away today. B-dog and I are off in the campervan for 2-3 weeks, couple of nights in SW Scotland before ferry to Arran on Sunday for 10 days then probably some time in North Kintyre/Mid Argyll and hopefully meeting up with my best friend near Oban (she lives near Inverness).I’ll keep reading and fingers crossed for all those who are poorly and worried, and of course, fingers crossed for DP’s little one.AA11 -
Morning all, I'm thankful for another bright and dry start to the day.I eyed up the back garden yesterday and nearly cut the grass then decided to do it today or even tomorrow if the weather stays dry. For lunch I took a fancy for pea and pancetta orzo and, of course, Nelski came zooming into my mind. Funny how sometimes these things happen. Anyway, the orzo was delicious, I made enough to have today as well. I'd forgotten how easy and quick it was to make.No plans for today. I'm using food from my own stores until I go away on Sunday. @AA - have a lovely trip. Arran will be lovely just now as long as the rain holds off. It's only a short 10 minute ferry trip across to mid Argyll. A few years ago I missed a sailing but the ferry chugged back for me!My thoughts are with our poorlies and those looking after poorlies.11

Morning all, thanks for starting Scarlet. Hope you get a restful weekend Camelot.Allie, sounds like a lovely trip - enjoy!Gers, I used to like dishes made with orzo but haven't bought any for ages. The sun is slow starting today, seems a bit misty and damp. I really hope the weather stays good until after tomorrow when it's DGds birthday sleepover. The big tent has been put up in their back garden and checked out, pizzas bought etc.Cross country went well for DGS and his school team. We bumped into a few friends from his football team too. Not as muddy as last week thankfully. I walked up, but DH was having a bad hip day & stayed at home. DS2 parked at ours as the traffic was horrendous on our small roads. The car parks (2) are not big enough for such a big event, it was chaos afterwards, and Ds had to get him back to his DM as they were all visiting one of the high schools open evening.I just had scrambled eggs for tea, DH wanted some of the soup I made, I've not had chance to freeze any! There is a chicken to cook for later.Thoughts with everyone who needs them, take care. Hope taff is enjoying her Italian trip.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)6

Morning all
My days are falling into a bit of a pattern at the moment. Today I will do the ironing and bake some cakes, as DD is visiting with the grandchildren tomorrow. After that I have some supermarket shopping to do, including picking up DGS's birthday present.
I'll be watching the rugby tonight; first matches of the season.
I then have a busy weekend with a music workshop Saturday afternoon and dancing for a Ladies group on Sunday afternoon. Both events are about an hour away by car so take up most of the day really. I'll make a large chicken curry today so there's enough for tomorrow as well.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.7 -
Morning everyone
Misty and drizzly here this morning - yesterday got out lovely again so hopefully it will again today.
No news about little one except that she's very fed up and grumpy! She's been on a list to be transferred to Newcastle for the last two days but is still in Edinburgh. DD says the doctor looking after her isn't happy and has said he will try to get it sorted today. It's been a wasted few days as they are just keeping her comfortable, whereas if she was in Newcastle they'd be trying to find out why it's happened again. Thanks for all the crossed fingers x
Better get moving, as I need to go for some shopping before work.
Hope everyone has a good day. Allie your trip to Scotland sounds lovely x8 -
Good morning all
Thank you for the start Scarlet
Yesterday was warm with just a gentle breeze, perfect for walk and talk. We took a different route which was nice.
Not sure what today will bring.
Take care
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.7 -
Morning, a cloudy start here, although the sun poked through not long ago, its hiding now.
Washing done although whether it'll dry is another matter. Today will be spent tidying the cupboards, fridge and freezer. I need to make space in the freezer as somehow I ended up with 2 loaves of bread yesterday, so will freeze one. Then I'll sit down and total up how much I spent!
Allie your trip sounds amazing, have a great time.
Fingers still crossed for dp1's little one, hope she gets transferred soon.
Hugs for anyone who needs them and love to all x7 -
Morning all
Its a bit overcast here this morning with rain due this evening and into tomorrow, Sunday looks dreadful with storms and heavy rain forecast.
I have a wash about to finish and another to do I will hang it out for a while in the hopes that it will dry it’s quite windy so it might.
I might do something easy for dinner maybe bacon egg and chips, dd is here for dinner and then goes out for a couple of hours to a leaving do for someone she works with she is working an early tomorrow so it won’t be a late night.
Dogs to be walked later and I will hoover through and mop the floors downstairs.
Allie enjoy your trip xHave good days all and take care xx6 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
I’m feeling better today after a couple of ropey days – yippee! DH and I are at the cinema tonight to see ‘Lee’. Tomorrow I have a much-needed haircut and then we are meeting the outlaws at a local mall for a light lunch.
Hope DD and DGD get transferred soon @dp1 – so stressful for your all x
I’m hoping to semi-retire/work for myself once we move @camelot1001 – will be able to take a few months off to ponder my options which is a great prospect.
@AlwaysAllie – your trip sounds amazing, have a fantastic time away x
Some sorting/decluttering to do this weekend in preparation for the move. Don’t know where to start but the loft is looking like our first priority!!
Have a good day all and hugs to all in need.
