    when is the debt for?
normally these get statute barred after 6 years.

Lowells playbook is they but 100's of debt for pence in the pound and hope one or two people panic and pay - don't be the one.

Send them a standard "prove it" letter to them and see what comes back.

mention that as far as you're concerned the debt is statute barred so they can't do anything apart from ask you to pay, no ccj, no bailiffs nothing
  • What exactly do the letters say?  Do they say we may take court action' or have you had a letter before court action?

If you have had a court claim you need to respond to it. It is too late to be writing to Lowell.

What is the issue date of the claim?

You may be getting four sorts of letter:
    - cross ones from Lowell saying set up a payment arrangement or we will go to court
    - one from their solicitors saying much the same
    - a Letter Before Action, which is a letter with several forms attached
    - a N1 claim form from the court.

What exactly have you had? And have you made any payments after the default date?

Not sure you will get an answer - the OP has been banned for some reason...
