MSE Poll: Were you delayed on your last holiday flight, and if so, did you claim compensation?

Now the summer holidays have been and gone, we want to know if you were one of many whose flight didn't go to plan. And if you arrived at your destination more than three hours late (the threshold for flight compensation), have you claimed compensation? We flew back from Tunisia three weeks ago and the flight was delayed. The plane touched down on the tarmac 2h and 57m after our expected arrival time home, but by the time they got to the gate and opened the door it was 3h2m late - so 2 minutes over the 3h requirement - which netted us £350 per person. So £1400 back on a £4500 holiday wasn't bad at all.

Oh and BTW Tui were SHOCKING in terms of communication and support at the airport. They basically deserted us and left us to it when they should have kept us updated and provided food and drink. I've holidayed with them for years and never had an issue, but this time when something did go wrong, they couldn't've cared less!
