Apprenticeship and GCSE results

Hi, I am in my 30s about to start an apprenticeship through work. It's for accounting, and I have been working in finance for 5 years now and I have a certificate in Bookkeeping.
Whilst going through the application, the provider wanted my GCSE results, fortunately I kept them but although I have a C in Maths, I have a D in English. Does anyone know whether I would need to sit and English functional skills exam because of this?
Thank you in advance.

I imagine the provider is the only one who can answer your question.
Worth noting, perhaps, that my son had an engineering apprenticeship. He had a D for English Language but, bizarrely, a C for English Literature. That was accepted without question.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3661 -
Unlikely - you have 15 years of living which is worth much more.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1

Thank you both. I have attempted to contact the provider but all they come back with is they want the certificates and haven't answered whether I will need to sit a functional test. Just have to wait and see I think.0

It is a requirement for all apprenticeships to have a level 2 qualification in maths and English. I am just completing the last stage of a degree apprenticeship and had to do English functional skills as I only had a d on my gcse.1
