Good morning, still dark, but I think its an ok morning. Yesterday was a nice fine day.
I went to a shopping centre nearby to look for some new slippers but didn't find any I liked.
Did a bit of shopping in Sains while I was there.
We might go out today, Dh was thinking of Barnard Castle, it's nice there.
Not much else happening.
Hope you're enjoying your holiday Izzie, it's warmed up a bit for you.
Thinking of our sad and poorly people, take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. The forecast was for overnight rain but there's no evidence of that happening. But it's dismal looking out there so it may still happen. It feels much warmer this morning thank goodness so no heating on today. What with the heating on yesterday morning and the washer working overtime my smart meter reading was rising alarmingly.. Today should be a less fuel spendy day!
A same old same old Sunday for me. I will be grocery shopping with DS at some point but he usually texts me at a minute's notice. So me and the bags will be ready and waiting.
I seem to have got in a rut with my meal ideas which have got a bit repetitive of late so. I have been browsing through cookery books for a bit of inspiration.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and sad. Take care xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, have a good trip out.
Dry and bright this morning but rain due later. I managed to get some washing nearly dry yesterday before the heavens opened. I have a towel load to do but will wait until tomorrow as the forecast is quite good.
Got all my jobs done yesterday and a haircut and spent the afternoon slobbing about watching a film and the TV, I was incredibly tired after a busy week and had a little nap too!
I've done the ironing and put everything away, going to meet DD for brunch later and visit Home Bargains for toiletries, apart from that I've nothing planned.
Hope everyone is well and you all have a peaceful Sunday. Take care. XX

Morning everyone just a quick one before we go out we had a beautiful day yesterday everyone was carrying there coats around we sat a while and watched them all coming in from the great big Macmillan hike my friends daughter was doing it but we didn’t see her it finished at Bamburgh I sent her a message and she said she was shattered but enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Scarlet we sometimes go to Barnard Castle when the farmers market is on it’s a nice place but we got a shock last time we went at how many shops had closed down it’s I’m afraid like a lot of town’s people are shopping on line I think we are in for a good week weather wise we are trying somewhere different for Sunday lunch we popped in yesterday to book it and have a coffee it looked lovely and the staff were very friendly and of course the dog got spoilt. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning all. Slow start Sunday. The darker mornings and evenings is really noticeable now, the changes already make me want to make thick soups and hibernate. I aim to hold out until the clocks change but I've got leek soup in my head now. 😀There's not much incentive to go anywhere today and I don't need anything anyway. I've got a few programmes to catch up with and some financial fiddling around to do (not dodgy fiddling) as a couple of fixed term accounts matured which need new homes.I wish everyone a lovely Sunday.6

Morning, very dull outside at the moment.
I didn't get on here yesterday, don't know why, the day just seemed to whizz by without me really doing much.
I watched Strictly last night but just couldn't seem to get into it. Don't know if it's all the controversy that's put me off. Will carry on watching anyway. Then watched Last night of the Proms, but that doesn't seem the same anymore. Maybe it's me, old age striking.
Not much planned for today, just waiting for a couple of parcels to be delivered.
Have a good day everyone, Izzy, happy holiday.
Love to all x5 -

Morning everyone
I went with mam to visit dad yesterday - he's fine but not happy that he can't come home yet. We had a good chat though and I told him everything DD has been doing in Malaysia, that cheered him up a bit as he loves to hear about her travels. We had a chat with the nurse in charge, I asked if they were aware that dad can only see blurry shapes and then only if the things are close, the other hospital hadn't told them which seemed a bit strange. Dad wouldn't say as he just assumes everyone knows all about him. The staff all seemed really nice, but very busy - I explained to dad that they have 23 other patients to look after and some will be quite ill, so he will have to wait sometimes - but his answer was well I'll just come home!
DD has taken little one to a caravan for the weekend - it was lovely to get photos of her having fun again. DD was worried about her last night though as she didn't feel well, but she had gone to sleep and was hungry for her breakfast this morning, so hopefully she'll be ok. I think it's just going to take a while for her to get back to normal.
I'm having a lovely lazy start to the day - I'm had a chat with eldest DD in Kuala Lumpar. She's having a great time but says it is so hot and humid. Yesterday she found a hotel with a pool non guests can pay to use, so ended up there for a couple of hours.
I'm going to go downstairs and make another cuppa and just stay here a bit longer, I don't know how long it is since I had such a lazy Sunday morning as I'm usually with dad.
I need some shopping this afternoon, so mam will walk along with me and we will go for a coffee at M and S.
Izzy - the forecast is good for the next week - you're lucky!
Hope everyone has a good day x

Nice bright day here again but still a chill in the air, OH sat out in the garden yesterday evening but was wrapped up, it was far too chilly for me.
Doing a roast dinner this evening roast pork roasties parsnips cabbage carrots and peas and hm gravy, I am really looking forward to it I have got a sticky toffee pudding and ice cream as mum is coming and she loves a pudding, DD’s young man is coming too so should be nice.
We need to have a quick hoover round and then OH will take the dogs out while I prep the dinner, back to work tomorrow 😳 why do holidays go so quickly!Have good days all and take care xx7 -
Afternoon all
I've been up and pegging out washing then popped to Lidl for some of their deli bits. Have just now washed my favourite winter jacket so that will be ready to wear come the colder weather. I need to wash another lighter weight jacket with some Nickwash, to help the reproofing, but that isn't going to happen today.
I've also got an ancient wax jacket of indeterminate origin that needs to be sent away for tidying up and rewaxing. I should have done it a while ago but I was still wearing it in June!
Have cut back some of the rose hedging in the front, as the green bin will be emptied tomorrow. Plus I also sorted through lots of those fancy bottle bags that I'd kept on a shelf and found 2 Christmas bags I must have bought for the grandsons, so I won't need to buy those again this year!
Am currently sitting down with a cuppa before peeling the veg for Sunday lunch.
Happy Sunday to everyone.7
