Civil Service Pensions - Capita response times

My partner has now been waiting over 5 weeks for CAPITA to answer some questions regarding the pension she was due in August.  Is this typical?

Comments

  • No, it is very uncommon. It will remain that way until Capita become the Scheme  Administrator in late 2025.

Until then, the scheme administrator is MyCSP. Several posters have been experiencing delays in responses, pension lump sums, etc, in recent weeks, so you are not alone.

Very unusual since CAPITA don't currently manage the civil service pension scheme. They're set to manage it from September 2025. MyCSP currently manage the civil service pension scheme.
Personal experience, I have found responses to be slow, but accurate and helpful. 3 weeks is about the top end of what i was experiencing. I would be chasing after 5.
I don't expect the service to improve as MyCSP are in the last 12 months of their contract, and so very few people will be looking at service improvement strategies right now.

My mistake re Capita.  Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself in anticipating getting no response till they take over.

    She did chase last week.
