Do you think beauty advent calendars are value for money and worth it, or are they overpriced fancy boxes full of samples?

Sorry the poll didn’t work out too well and I’m not sure how to edit it.When beauty advent calendars 1st came out I was all for it and found them lots of fun with surprises. But after a couple years I realised that most of the items in these advent calendars are samples or items that have struggled to sell otherwise.
a lot of these brands offer the same samples as free gifts with purchase at other times of the year. So I don’t see the sense in paying for something that is usually free with threshold spends. But that’s just me - wondered what others thought on hereLancashire

I won't be buying, but I'm a member of the liberty beauty club, which I think is better value.1

I used to get the Liberty subscription box as well - it was pretty good. Not sure why I stopped doing it but think it had something to do with too many serums / similar types of productsLancashire

I'd argue it's better now as the credit you accrue can now be spent on anything in Liberty - but it is now an actual cost.of £5 a month, rather than the ,whole amount becoming liberty credit1 -
I might buy one, I think the trick is going for one that you can see a list of what is inside to know whether you'll use it/gift things in it to others. I don't have a problem with sample size products as long as its priced accordingly. I've become a lover of many a product through trying a sample.
I certainly won't be spending £100s on one but my dream would be a liberty one!"You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "1 -
I got a Liberty advent one the 2nd year they did them and it was still a reasonable price. I think it’s more than £250 now! I’ve kept the box and use it each year for bespoke advent for my OH.
one thing I do notice with Liberty is they definitely offer the same items that are in their beauty advent in gift with purchase threshold spends throughout the year.Lancashire

I will be getting one after checking what is in it. I generally keep what I want and buy a box/basket and wrap the rest up for a gift for someone. Saves on the money for their present.1

Never buy them. Most of the products in them, I would not use and would just give away.
