Future Pensions number not working

I've been trying for months to top up the shortfall in my pension but simply cannot get through to them. Everything points back to the same number but it is not recognised. What do I do now?

0800 731 0175 as advertised on their web page works for me.

Can you not access the details through the on line portal ?

0800 731 0175 is certainly the correct number and worked for me a couple of weeks ago.

Once you've got the information from them they can transfer you to HMRC to get the code.

HMRC's number is 0800 200 3500

Probably trying to clear the backlog before the tsunami of calls next March, from all the ones who leave it until the last minute ("the money is better off earning interest for me than for the government").

What is the number that is "not recognised"?
Are you calling from UK or abroad?

You do know it's usually best to ring first thing in the morning (Mon-Fri, probably.  0800-1800) as they can get very busy. 
As other have got through OK it's something at your end. 
Try calling from somewhere else another phone or line (friend, family, neighbour)?
