Hi guys. Right, so... Intrum sent me this letter after i offered them about 25 % of the debt. Makes me thibk they dont even have the initial contact and I was wondering how to deal with it. The debt is from vauxhall as after finding out i have been miss sold the finance dont know what to do. Any advices? If any of you can tell me how to formally request the contract to them would bd amazing. They have been chasing me for 4 years now but i totally refuse to pay as when returning the car they added lots of things to "repair" so I complaint to vauxhall bout that and they stopped for a while. Now theyre back.

Can`t read that very well but it looks like they may be lining you up for potential legal action.
You are correct that Intrum won`t have your original contract, no debt purchasing company has the contracts of the debts they buy, that`s because they are always retained by the original lender.
So if you want a copy, I`m assuming it was a hire purchase agreement, you write to Intrum and ask them to send you a copy, simples.
They are then obliged to send that request to the original lender who will attempt to comply.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. You ask Intrum, not Vauxhall, for the CCA agreement using this template letter https://nationaldebtline.org/get-information/sample-letters/information-about-your-agreement-under-consumer-credit-act/0
