Good morning Gers, thanks for starting.
It's a dull grey start here but not raining.
Had a quiet day yesterday, and visited a friend for a couple of hours last night, we talked the night away as usual.
I don't know what delights are in store today, we might go out.
Hope everyone has a good day anyway. Thinking of anyone who is poorly and/or struggling with life.
Take care folks.

Morning Gers,Scarlet and all who follow. I've been up a while (restless pooch), no doubt I'll be falling asleep in front of the tv tonight
I haven't taken her out yet and wouldn't you know it- she's snoozing under the table now. Looks a bit cloudy today after a beautifully sunny day yesterday. DS had a work free day and decided to power wash the front stone flagged path, then the rear path, patio etc now, - looks a lot better.
We were meant to be going for a family meal later but I cancelled yesterday as DGD was double booked, not sure what we'll have now.
First I have to take pooch out, then we're due at DS2s for 9 o clock to travel to DGS away football match, so I shall love you and leave you and wish everyone a good day. Will have to catch up the rest of yesterdays news later.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)8 -
Morning all thanks for early birds that have already posted!
Well yesterday turned into warm one - it was nice to see the sun back - grey and drizzly again now.Lovely day out at Kenilworth Castle (yes @Coxy11, add it to your list) - loads to see, great walkways high up in the ruins with great viewsToday I’m taking some of my craft stuff to the shop at the local steam railway as they might want to stock some of it which would be nice.No other plans, battling a sore throat so will see how I feel.Take care all

What a glorious day we had here yesterday, a proper summer one. It inspired me to finally attack the long grass in the back garden, then I only managed half the lawn as the battery ran out. Typical. I'll do the other half later today once the dew has dried off, it won't dry further down but I'll get it cut, it'll make it look so much better.Life was much more normal, thank goodness. I took away the rubbish and recycling. For today I've taken a portion of bolognaise meat sauce out of the freezer and have got boiled potatoes to fry up, just need to rustle up some veg.I hope that everyone is doing well, or even better.7

Morning allJust hung some washing out in my jim jams as it is forecast to rain a bit later and it would be nice to get it all dry before then. Felt a bit warmer out there today too. Nothing planned today apart from making some rock cakes and dead heading stuff in the garden now the rain has stopped, for a while, anyway!Hope everyone has a good day x6

Morning all from a dull and damp Mehefinland
Jealous of you lot with the warm sunny weather. We have had 2 days of dull, murky, misty, plain horrible weather with lots of heavy rain. Last night it was torrential with thunder mixed in. Quite a lot of localised flash flooding in the area. Glad the guys were in the stables. The BBQ I was invited to was postponed - good job as it would have been a very soggy affair.
Today is the village fete!! The outlook is not good, but it might clear up later. I hope so as I know a lot of work has gone into it. Don't think I will attend though as although I am fine meeting people I know well, I don't want to be swamped by wellwishers at a function like this.
I think the phrase is 'existing' rather than 'living' at the moment. Had a long chat with our farrier yesterday whilst he was seeing to the guys. He is a lovely chap and never stops talking, particularly about his 2 girls and their achievements with their ponies. They have both qualified for prestigious shows ( HOYS and London International) but I hate to think what the costs must be. However, for once , he was remarkably quiet for all of 5 minutes when we had discussed Dawn and the manner of her passing.
Finally got the chimney sweep organised. He is coming a week Thursday to do both the woodburner and the Rayburn which will be another thing off my list. Coal was delivered earlier this week, so we are more or less set to go.
Thats about it for the time being
Happy hols to those on them, and best wishes for the poorlies.
Hugs and spoons as always

Good morning everyone.
Gers, thanks for starting us off.
It's a dull grey start here but not raining.
Hope you all have a good weekend whatever you are doing. x5 -
Morning, yesterday was a glorious day, back to dull and drizzly today.
I didn't get on here yesterday. When I went for cards on Thursday I also bought new tea coffee and sugar caddies (as you do), so yesterday was spent rearranging the kitchen. It's amazing how something new and changing things around makes so much difference. A few things went into the charity bag. Only the drawer of doom to tackle today.
Dinner tonight will be bbq chicken wings with salad and wedges. Am I the only one looking forward to autumnal dishes such as stews and casseroles?
Have a good day everyone, I'll catch up on yesterday's news later.
Love to all x5 -
Morning everyone
Grey and misty here this morning, we're forecast sunshine later so I'm hoping it arrives as I've washing to hang out.
Good news at last about little one! The higher amount of cornflour helped a bit, so now she's been put on something similar, but on prescription. The doctor had told her yesterday that they would be switching her feed off today and she would have to start eating food again. He had told her that there was no reason for her to be sick so she wasn't to be scared. Well a few hours later she'd been tucking into a packet of mini cheddars! Fingers crossed if she's ok over the weekend they'll get home next week.
But...there had to be a but! When I got home from work mam phoned for me to go down. She'd come back from her respite afternoon to find dad really upset and talking nonsense so we had to ring for an ambulance and they're both in hospital 60 miles away - not the same one as little one though.
They said he'd either had a stroke or it was an infection from a previous stroke. I'm just going to ring to see how he is.
I'll wish you all a good day and pop back later if I have news x8 -
Good morning all
Thank you the start @Gers
Izzy , I find the walk and talk much more relaxed than the bereavement café which makes it easier.
It's dry today, but definitely an autumn chill in the air.
Take care
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.6
