Morning allThanks for starting us off Scarlet. It's tipping down out there. A soggy food shopping trip for me this morning then. Had my hair cut yesterday by new hairdresser. She went a bit mad at the back so not alot of hair left there! You'd think a mobile hairdresser would bring a mirror with her? Let's see how it goes next time as I've booked her in for a cut and highlights in 6 weeks time.Hope everyone has a good day today and the poorlies are just about back to normal{{hugs}} if you need one x8

Morning again. It's a quieter morning than yesterday, fine and damp, not as windy. Yesterday was a nasty day, we weren't out at all.
Chrisca, you would think a hairdresser would bring a mirror wouldn't you, sorry to hear you've been scalped! Hope it doesn't take too long to grow back.
I'm going out later, there's a birthday card to airmail to Oz, and some milk and bread needed.
Hope everyone has a good day, thinking of the sad and poorly people.
Take care folks.9 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, hope you can get out today. It's a beautiful morning again here and expected to be sunny all weekend. I'm trying to power wash the decking at the back, it's quite big and very time consuming, hopefully I can get it cleaned over the weekend and then put the oil on.
Work has been unbelievably busy, not a minute to think! We are certainly noticing the cut in hours (we lost a part timer this year).
Hoping you feel better Izzy and Gers.
Is taff on holiday now?
Missing you Nanny.
Keep going Mehefin, it's early days yet.
Have a great holiday Coxy.
Must dash off to work now although it's my favourite day! Take care. XX8 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET for the start. After a chilly day yesterday, when I had to resort to digging a jumper out, today we are promised 23 deg and sun all day. So summer is still clinging on.
After my shopping trip to Sainsbobs I intended to do lots of things which never happened! So today is going to be a busy one. Dust and vac all round up and down, then do my packing of clothes for all weathers at the 'van,, followed by food packing. DD and youngest DGD are picking me up after school and staying overnight. Whether we do anything before they go back home tomorrow will be weather dependant! I have no plans for the rest of the week so a pile of books will be going with me but I do want to do a little recce to find the last of the blackberries which grow in abundance around the site.
I have just put on the usual gammon joint to take with me as this will feed me nicely, one way or another, for the first few days.
Well I had better get moving. Hope our poorlies are still making progress. ((HUGS)) for all in need, including Dp1's little one and DEREK. Have a lovely holiday COXY. I'll be reading along on my phone but sausage fingers will spare you much of my waffling! Take care all, stay safe xx

Happy Friday
Damp and grey here, but like others it’s due to be sunny and warm later. Hoping to visit Kenilworth Castle and Elizabethan Garden, it’s been on my list for a while and I have Eng Heritage membership so it’s ’free’!
Didn’t get much done yesterday afternoon as felt a bit dizzy and my ears were blocked - then it suddenly cleared so not sure what that was about!TA have a good trip - the blackberries here have pretty much gone to mush after the rain but I must have had 6-8lbs.Take care all

Morning all,
Firstly, many thanks for all the Happy Birthdays, I had a lovely day full of cake and flowers.
Have a lovely time away TA.
Sorry, to read about some of you being so ill, hope you are all getting better.
It is so dismal here weather wise, yesterday I had to put my woollen cardigan on, as I am not putting the heating on this early. Today it is grey and wet.
Plans for today are to tidy through some tubs of mum’s bits and pieces and try and find a home for them, and if I am well enough I will visit mum this afternoon. She was not herself on Tuesday, but it is early days with dad and her brother’s passing.
Dinner wise I have some pork loin steaks to use up, and I just smelt 6 ripe bananas that need using…I will freeze 3 and use 3 in baking.
I must get on,
Take care all.

Good morning everyone
The sun is shining here but it looks very breezy. It is supposed to be up to 25 today, we shall see.
Yesterday I took the shading off the greenhouse in the hope that the tomatoes might ripen, so little green toms time to sunbathe. I might get round to doing some fence painting today no excuse because of bad weather.
Other than that it is a go with the flow day.
Enjoy your break TA
DP1- hope for good news for little one
As usual best wishes to the sad and poorlies
Take care x11 -
Morning all - thanks for starting us off @Scarlet.Yesterday was better for me, I ate almost normally and everything behaved!
I stripped the bed and got all the linen washed, out on the line and dried. Before going to bed I set the DW off.
We're having the last hurrah of the summer that never was. I wrote a load of emails which had been hanging about since I came back the other week. And deleted a whole load more from companies wanting me to give them feedback, it's insidious now. One said it would take me three minutes, don't know in what universe that was possible!Today is looking to be lovely again, swallows still flitting through the sky catching insects and the cows are happily munching at the lush grass. I have to into town to post some birthday cards and one condolence card. The postie didn't stop at my house yesterday so they are still resting on my sofa. The neighbour who normally speeds past my house taking his children to school and toots has just sailed past, all three on bike, and he tinkled his bell. It's good to start the day with a cheery wee moment.
Happy week away @TA. My fingers are crossed that you have good weather.6 -
Morning all, looks set to be a nice day today, allegedly temps above 22,it's only registering 16 atm though. No special plans for the day though.I'll probably have a walk, then catch up over the garden fence with NDNeighbour. They got back off hol last night, she rang the doorbell to get her car key back from DH who has set it going now and again to keep the battery ok as they were away for 3 weeks. She said the temp got to 43 degrees and her OH got swelling in his legs and feet so they used a lot of taxisHope LO sees a teacher today @dp1 , it might brighten her day a little.DH brought 2 bags of offcut wood home from work yesterday,it's ok for lighting the wood burner. I might have to make a loaf today,I haven't been making much but buying loaves as DH always cuts into the newest one I've just made instead of using what's in the bread bin
. Home made doesn't last as long so I've been throwing a fair bit away and I hate the waste.I've got the last part loaf out from the freezer but there isn't enough for the weekend.
Enjoy your hols @Coxy.Hope the rain isn't too bad down South, take care all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)7 -
Morning everyone
Grey and foggy here this morning but we are forecast sunshine later - fingers crossed! Yesterday was so miserable all day.
Little one had been slightly better yesterday after the amount of cornflour she has was increased. - her sugars hadn't dropped quite so often. DD says the doctors seem to have done all the blood tests they can for now, so they're concentrating on getting her sugars more stable. She's still so tired though and still sleeping a lot of the time.
This morning I need to go down to mam and dads to do his banking, then I'll get the bus down to work.
Pleased to hear Gers and Izzy are improving.
TA enjoy your time away at the caravan
Always Allie enjoy your day out
Hope everyone has a good day x6
