Hi
I have a free standing gas cooker which has come to the end of its life
I've seen a reasonably priced Kenwood gas cooker at Currys
Are these cookers ok and reliable

Re: KENWOOD GAS COOKER (Model: KTG606S22)
I know this review won't be useful for the original poster now, but hope it will be for anyone else considering purchasing this cooker. I am so very disappointed with it and regret buying it.
I recently bought it from Currys and tried to leave a review on the Curry's website but to no avail.
The cooker itself is very poor quality. The oven is very small (can't use large baking trays or pizza trays) and it does not cook food evenly - food is undercooked on one side and burnt on the other. Food also burns and sticks on to baking trays regardless of whatever I try to prevent it.
The grill is very badly designed, it's no better than a camping stove grill and is not fit for purpose. You also need to slot in an additional guard provided every time you use the grill to prevent the cooker knobs from getting too hot and melting.
The heat produced from the back of the oven feels excessive - to the point that I was concerned that it would burn or damage the blinds on my kitchen window, which are above the cooker.
The cooker may seem to be good value but it is very poor quality (IMO). Shop around and pay a bit more if you can.0
