Morning, thanks for starting us off @Scarlet.Yesterday I had a better day, I managed to both eat and retain food. I was very cautious and a little fearful too though all seems well again. This morning the swallows are very active as the sky is bright and the rain has stopped. Here's some queuing at my bedroom window to feast on insects in the stone wall I suspect they'll be gone soon12

Morning again.
That's a good pic of the swallows Gers, I think you're right, they will be gone soon. It's damp and windy here, with rain on the wind. The leaves are flying off the trees opposite us, Autumn has arrived too soon, we've hardly had a summer.
Glad you're managing to hold on to food now Gers, whatever bug you've had has been a nasty one.
Izzy, hope you're feeling a bit better.
Mehefin, thinking of you, you're doing so well.
Dp1, Hope dg d will soon be home.
I was out for coffee yesterday with an ex work colleague, had a good chat.
We scrubbed the front path, it looked dirty and mossy, now it's much better. The hedge is sprouting a bit so DH will probably do that if we get a dry day at some point.
Not a lot going on today, just the usual stuff.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can. Thinking of our poorly and/or sad people.
Take care folks.

Actually having a day at home doing housework and admin ,must sort out my car insurance the quote from existing provider is ridiculous and I have already found one a lot cheaper Now to phone them !
have a good day all8 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. A damp start for us but it's brightening a bit for now. I agree about it being so depressing facing Autumn when we haven't had much Summer.
Usual Thursday clean of kitchen and bathroom this morning., Just a quickie with being missing for a few days. Then I want to trip down to Sainsbobs for a few provisions as I have decided tomorrow to have a last hurrah at the caravan for this season. DD and the girls will keep going when they can until the site closes but I'm a fair weather caravaner!
Have a nice day folks if you can and the usual ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and sad. GERS pleased you are on the mend, hope IZZY is soon too. Dp1 fingers are still crossed your DGD and DD get home soon. MEHEFIN take it easy, don't try to do too much too soon. NAN if you are reading along we are all missing you.. Take care all and stay safe xx

Morning all, thanks Scarlet.Gers glad you are feeling a bit better,& Izzy, sounds like you've both had nasty bugs.It rained hard during the night, which distubed me a bit.Put wellies on walking pooch in the wood across the road, protected my ankles from the blackberry runners that are sneaking through at foot level. There are still quite a lot of big blackberries on the bushes, might go back across if it stays dry and pick some more before they rot. Lylapooch is partial to a few when we're out too. One of our previous dogs used to pick them himself from the bushesHad a bus trip yesterday morning but spent very little, but once back went to a shop in our shopping centre and picked up a pair of ankle boots in the sale. I've been looking for a while and these were half the price of the 2 I'd spotted in an online sale, not black as I'd originally wanted but a dark burgundy leather which looks nice. My cousin rang in the afternoon for a catch up, not spoken to her for a while, and they're off on holiday again soon. We're back to picking DGS up from school most afternoons now (Tuesdays off
) It was nice to catch up with the Mums/grandparents yesterday. It's DGD 1st day back today at high school. She was meant to come for tea yesterday but cancelled, I think she wanted to pick her little half brother up from his 1st day in Reception with her mum. Consequently the meal plan altered and the shepherds pie I'd got out for her was redistributed to DH ( secretly he was pleased as we were having burgers, not his favourite
) They were big ones from the butchers, cheese + spring onion, 2 left now so I'll freeze them.
I hope everyone has a good day if possible, take care.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)8 -
Hi all
Thanks for the start Scarlet
Gers - glad things have settled
RosyRed - my B-dog LOVES blackberries and also picks them himself, he does the same with the raspberries in the garden and has recently been trying his luck with tomatoes too!
Huge shopping trip yesterday but groceries stocked up for a while and a few other bits picked up too. Spent almost two hours cleaning DDad's car which looked as though it'd been parked under trees - it's not! All the seams and window edges were green - an old soft toothbrush shifted most of it!
Today was going to be outdoor things but it's damp grey and mizzly so that won't happen. Plenty of indoor jobs and craft work to do.
Take care all

Morning everyone
Grey sky and drizzle here. Yesterday afternoon got out lovely - I sat out and read for a bit when I got home from work. It was nice to get back to nursery though I felt sad for little one that she wasn't at school with her friends. She had been really upset and cross yesterday morning because she was missing school and DD said she wouldn't speak to anyone - she had cheered up a bit in the afternoon though. She might get a visit from a teacher today, this sent me on a google search and it seems there is a school that works in the RVI. It works with the childs' own school so they're learning the same as their classmates.
I have a few jobs to do before I go to work so I best get on.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
Glad you’re feeling brighter today @Gers x
The last minute break to the van sounds great @TravellingAbuela x
No packing done last night but I’ve no bosses today so I’m typing a list of what I need to throw in the case later. Years ago I’d have meticulously planned my packing list weeks before, but nowadays I’m not as fussy. No-one’s looking at me and what I’m wearing lol!
Dinner tonight is a chicken/pasta dish. I’m hoping to run home from work but not if the rain turns biblical as predicted.
Hugs to all the poorlies and missing @-taff, @nannywindow, @nmlc (where did you go??)

Morning allBeen on the phone gassing to my ex-workmate/friend for the last hour or so. My hairdresser has been coming to me for the last 30 years or so but she has had to stop because of commitments with her aging parents. She has recommended me someone she knows who should be here soon. Will be strange after all these years getting used to someone else. Just hope she doesn't scalp me!!Hope you hear good news soon Dp1 re DGD and glad Izzy and Gers are starting to feel better after your bugs. Mehefin, you're doing so well, and it's good to let it all out now and again. Keep strong.Have a good day all x8
