Dentistry Abroad

You hear a lot about people going abroad for dentistry, but I've noticed it's nearly always for cosmetic or preventative work they're choosing to have done, rather than for normal check-ups and subsequent treatment.

Has anyone gone abroad for normal dental health treatment i.e. check-ups, fillings etc, or is this just not feasible?

I assume once you factor in the cost of flights/accommodation ect it's not worth it.

My neighbour does but that is back to their county of birth and where they lived until about ten years ago.
  • You can get dental emergency travel kits so if you have an accident or a crown falls out whilst on holiday you can patch yourself up until you can get back home potentially saving yourself a lot of hassle and expense!
