Change 0% Credit Card even though over a year left?

I currently have two 0% cards I am paying off, they have about £11,000 split on both of them, but next summer when they both expire I expect to have around £6,000 left on them.

I have seen MBNA have a 0% cards which runs 29 months with 2.99% fee. I am wondering if I should try to consolidate both those cards into this one card (if they allow me that high a limit) as it runs for much longer than my other two cards. In fact doing the maths the balance would be paid off by the end of the 29 months.

But is that a good idea? I’d end up paying £3/400 in fees that I don’t need to pay now… and surely by this time next year I could just transfer the balance over and because the total is less I will have less fees?

Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

There’s no point transferring them now if they still have nearly 12 months 0% left on them
You can always look to balance transfer any balance left next year
