@debt _free_delilliah looking at other posts they aren't easy to understand perhaps as @RAS suggested post and see if any light can be shed.
    .
I had a different post from when I was thinking about moving to a self managed DMP. I've popped a pic on there.

I am on dmp myself.I wonder, when you pay to agencies your agreed full and final settlement-do they care where the money come from,do they need any evidence that money came from third party.?
I am self employed, and my Income Expenditure is quite different from reality-so my monthly DMP payment is a lot less than i am actually capable of paying. This way i managed to save money for lump sum.
If agencies were to find out that i saved the money(i would tell them i received money from family member)-would be a problem?
    can anyone advice
    thanks

What makes you think a debt collection agency has any such rights or privileges?

    How would they find out?

They would want to know where the money was coming from, to avoid you taking out further credit to repay this debt, you simply say its a gift from a 3rd party, and that is all the information they are entitled to, and no, you are not required to prove where the money came from.
