Raising Cost Price after Deposit Paid

Hi all - first time post so after a bit of advice! - I am a photographer and run stalls selling my work at fairs and markets etc.
At the start of the year, I received an email from the events company that I used dating their markets for this year and stating each day costs £30 and would need a £10 deposit to secure. - I sent the £10 for the days I wanted to provisionally book, no problem.

Last week I received the invoice for the rest of the monies and it was more than I expected. After querying this, the company has raised the cost per day by 33% and put the price to £40. - There has been no comms about this and instead the price cost was hidden in the invoice, just showing it to be more than I expected.
Does anyone know what my rights are? How I can tackle this! - I generally don’t mind paying it but it’s the principle and morals for me as I think its been wrongly handled by the company.
Thanks in advance!!

It depends on the contract with the events company at the time you signed up/paid the deposit. Perhaps they're permitted to pass through any extra costs that that incur. If not, then you would have the right to exit the contract and get your deposit back.
What outcome would you like?0 -

honesty and transparency, rather than hiding the costs in an invoice. If by paying the deposit for the pitch being £30 then obviously I would prefer to pay the £30.0
