cgt on trading 212 free shares

If i receive a free fractional share from Trading 212, then sell it.......is the total amount received classed as capital gain?

    the amount subject to CGT is selling price - purchase price 
    so in your case.....  £x - £0

    are you perhaps thinking about the rules relating to averaging your purchase cost if you have multiple holdings of the same stock?

    No, i don't have multiple holdings of same stock. Just wasn't sure how free shares were treated re tax
