Thanks for starting us off Gers, hope there's some improvement to your hip. Good morning allWoke up this morning to read about a certain prison that I worked at for the last 25 years in their Library as being in 'systematic failure and in decline' so am glad to be out of it and not surprised at all. We were asking for at least 5 years to repair the leaks to our roof which ruined lots of our books. Going for a walk at my local park this morning as the one I used to walk round has parking charges starting today. Bedding to put out on the line before I go. Not alot going on apart from thatHave a good day all7

Yesterday was a wash out for me. A nasty something gave me a really upset digestion which lasted for over 12 hours. Every time I took a sip of water the effects were awful. Anyway, by 7p.m. I was able to drink boiled and cooled water. Today I seem to have recovered. 😀
it's weekly banking day and I'll be taking things easy. I'm not going to my exercise class as I feel wobbly still. I'm sure I'll be fine by this afternoon.Hugs to all.7 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, hope you're feeling better today.
It's wet and miserable here and so dark. Thankfully quite mild and no breeze.
The washing yesterday was half dry, it just hung there looking sad, there was no sunshine although it was dry all day. It was finished off in the TD and all put away. Now two things to iron!
I got the hedge at the front cut yesterday including next door so that looks a lot better, also put down some weed killer on the pesky block paving. Started to power wash the deck too but I got incredibly cold and gave up! There's a patch of very clean deck and the rest is filthy.
Hope to hear the little one will be coming home soon dp1, hope you enjoyed your birthday.
Off to work for me, hopefully it will be a little less manic than last week, I love being busy but that was too much.
Take care. XX7 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers hope you’re feeling 100% soon x
Belated happy birthday to @dp1 for yesterday x
I got back from my latest JoGLE yesterday. We finished in Tiverton so next year we aim to complete it. @mehefin we did plan to do it in one go in 2021 but DSis picked up an injury so we only got as far as Fort William. Have been doing stages since then due to us both working/having families.Back to work today but only for a week as we’re off to Crete on Saturday.Hugs to all those that need one.CoxyCross-stitch WIP: Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 11/25 Currently reading The Cliff House by Amanda Jennings8 -

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers, sorry you're not well. Hope you soon pick up.
It's dul damp and dreary here, autumnal as the weather people say.
Welcome Ambyth, keep posting!
Thank you for the good wishes for my biopsy results , Snoozer, I know of 2 other people who were told 6-8 weeks for biopsy results, as I was. It's a worrying time isn't it.
Happy birthday for yesterday DP1, 57, you're just a bairn!! I'm heading for 77 next year, don't know how it happened. The years slip away so quickly. Glad you had a lovely phone call from dgd.
Glad your little dg d is doing all right Camelot..
You're keeping busy Mehefin.
Not much going on today, just book club and visiting an elderly friend this afternoon. She's even older than me, 90 in October!
Thinking of our poorly/sad people, and those who are struggling with life.
Take care folks.10 -
Good morning everyone
Hope you have a better day Gers. It is grey and damp here but it's not cool, I've ventured out to open the greenhouse and was surprised that it felt so muggy.
Not sure what I'll get up to today, dusting and mopping might be on the list. I need to do some fence painting but the weather has put that on hold so I shall go with the flow.
Thoughts are with the sad and the poorlies.
Take care x8 -
Morning, very dark here but no rain yet.
I don't know what was wrong with me yesterday but I just felt so down in the dumps for no apparent reason. Hope I'm more cheerful today.
Making a steak and kidney pie for dinner, I cooked the meat yesterday.
Spoke too soon, just started raining.
Have a good day everyone, love to all x6 -
Good morning form a wet and dull Mehefinland
After a pretty full on day yesterday I hope today will be quieter.
Hele came and rode Showman. He was a grumpy so and so to start, and had put on a fair bit of weight since the beginning of July when he was last ridden. It was fun doing up his girth! After that he was quite well behaved for her and they had a short uneventful ride out. I watched carefully from the ground to make sure all was ok. Hele came back looking like a Cheshire cat, so I think she enjoyed herself. Showman didn't say much. need to bring the tack home and give it a good clean. Just another little task.
Picked up NDN at 7pm from M4 services. She and her friend had been to Windsor and the Docklands on a coach trip. Windsor was manic as there was some kind of demonstration going on. They went on a submarine ( I never knew there was one open for public viewing) and had a grand old time. As neither of them are what you may politely call sylphlike they had a lot of fun squeezing through the various hatches.
Did an Icela*d order, as don't really feel like going out to shop.
That's it for now
Hugs and spoons as always

Morning everyone
Thank you for all the happy birthdays yesterday.
It's foggy and raining here, unfortunately I have to go out. I'm going down to nursery to help our new manager with interviews - one of our staff members has decided , very last minute, not to come back this term so we're short staffed. Then I'll go round to DDs to check how the plants I put in last week are doing and empty the fridge of the milk and yogurt I left in last week, thinking they'd be back before they went out of date. Then I have a parcel to post on my way home again, hopefully it will have stopped raining by then.
Gers - I hope you're feeling better today
Scarlet - thanks I certainly don't feel old though I suppose I am to little one aged 5!
Coxy - well done on your walk. I wish I was going to Crete on Saturday!
Camelot - it would be so special to have your first baby cuddles the other day
I hope everyone has a good day x
